In his lecture-performance Apertures, UKYA alumnus Bill Balaskas will explore the ideological agency of contemporary art by expanding his research into the notion of “blindness”. Blurring the boundaries between personal narration, scientific documentation and poetic allegory, Balaskas will bring together a variety of sources and media, in order to further one of the most prominent preoccupations in his artistic and academic practice: the invisibility of the structures of power.
