Camille Christel

Camille Christel is a singer and songwriter from Nottingham. She plays with a variety of musicians including John Thompson, Henry Claude and music producer M. Craft. Camille Christel recorded her debut 3 track EP in Nottingham in March 2018 which was immediately championed by BBC Radio 6 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs playing the song Copenhagen on her Recommends show and consequently made it her game changing Sunriser track of her weekend breakfast shows. on Copenhagen “an exquisitely beautiful piece.” Mary Anne Hobbs BBC6 “stunning…..it doesn’t get any better than this.” Dean Jackson. Camille Christel starting performing live at thirteen. At fourteen she co wrote and performed with BE whose album ONE featured in Rough Trade and Guardian 2016 albums of the year. Through this she played at multiple festivals including Glastonbury, End of The Road and Blue Dot as well as live on BBC Radio 6. In 2017 she had written a collection of songs and started collaborating with musicians John Thompson and Henry Claude to develop her atmospheric and electronic sound. She was picked up by BBC radio 6 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs who sent Jeff Barett (Heavenly Recordings) her music, he subsequently offered her the opportunity to play at The Social in London (2018). He then teamed her with musician and producer M.Craft in Berlin to write and develop new material. Her new songs are being released on vinyl and launched at Rough Trade Nottingham in October 2018.
