The collaborative and solo performances evolve through the duration of the hour all speaking to ideas around womanhood, absence and occupation. The voice of the performers is absent, black tape becomes the signifier to the silent reflection they are embodying in Transference. 

Tackling issues and statements many of us choose to ignore in our daily lives, silent because we read, acknowledge and overlook. Is social media a platform for ignorance?

JACK.’s Burning Fags is a live performance that explores the nature of childhood nostalgia, ritualistic behaviours and conservative British towns. JACK. is a performance maker, lip-sync artist and immersive theatre performer queerly eyeing up the subjects of capitalism, conservatism and cabaret.

A body embedded in an abstracted sculptural surrounding, consumed by crisp white paper that is neither falling nor rising; time standing still. The atmosphere continuously shifting as an interplay between reality and imagination unfolds the work itself. Questions of the objective observer and the experience of time are provoked in this durational performance where the audience is free to come in and out of the work as they please.

Hisse's pieces are focused on shifting the audience's perspectives on the human body and investigating possibilities of non-human forms. Yu-Hsien Wu’s Dirty Paw is a contemporary dance solo that explores the purity of movements, which are interconnected between animals and human beings. Kim Geunyoung is a choreographer and dancer whose work is based on emotions and cultures of Korean traditions as a way to explore new forms of dance.

This dance theatre show explores the fears, enjoyments and the little routines that sustain human relationships through the lens of unreliable memories. Partners who each want to come out on top, and a territorial struggle over bed space. This performance swings between the normal and the surreal as two sides of a couple do their best to express their relationship to you.

Annie is worried about her youngest, Rosa. Convinced she’s heading the same way as her dearest son Robbie - the ex-child prodigy who walked out to sea three years ago - she enlists the help of her eldest daughter, the highly intelligent, yet self-centred Rita. Realising her little sister’s issues may be genuine rather than melodrama after being asked the impossible, wannabe actress Rita begrudgingly takes a more unorthodox approach to avoid Rosa’s imminent emotional breakdown.

Corporeal realities is a drawing performance which wanders in time and space. It is the artist’s journey of self-reflection, exploring her identity through the limits/contours of her own body. You are welcome to take a chalk, join the artist and start drawing your contours to explore your body in its dialogue with the other performers, the audience and the city.

From 10pm Sunday until 10am Monday, participants will be immersed in a 12 hour theatrical lock-in with ‘that weirdo theatre company’ LaPelle’s Factory. Over the 12 hours they will workshop and devise new performance to share, bleary-eyed, at 10am Monday morning.

Konstantina Skalionta’s Land(e)scape invites you, the audience member, to share a journey through different landscapes, mindscapes and emotions. During the performance you will be invited to close your eyes, lie down, reposition or walk in the space in order to experience parts of it. You are free to decide to which extent you would like to follow these directions and therefore to choreograph your own experience in the performance.

Rogue is a durational performance that explores the displacement of women, inspired by some of the cultural and social issues that have affected our society in history and today. The 900 Club is a spoken word theatre show that blends minimalistic theatre and Scottish performance poetry. Five years after the death of their friend, Emily, Avery, Fiona and Mac reunite to commemorate him. They take the 900 Megabus from Glasgow to Edinburgh, where there is no escaping old memories – hilarious, heartbreaking or otherwise.

Take Us as We Are is an autobiographical performance that explores Romany Gypsy heritage and culture. Unapologetic and interrogative, the work is embellished by truth and takes nomadic form as it forces the public eye to consider Liza’s presence/female Gypsy presence. A thought-provoking performance with themes of family, pride, innocence and identity.

Psychic Cards for Uncertain Terrain: Nottingham invites anxious viewers to have their futures read by a very specific deck of tarot cards. The deck is formed of instant photographs taken in 2018 around and within Nottingham featuring street life, private life, and the people who live here. Cards contain partial nudity.

Three performers remain still, quivering and shuddering attempting to be sculptural and solid. Contorting like tendons, and existing as three separates but also sometimes becoming one. Audience members are invited to place unshelled boiled fresh broad beans in their mouths. This small dance will exist within the your face and jaw for the duration of the performance.

Ant Lightfoot’s AM I A TERRIBLE PERSON is a comedic look into the mind of an OCD & depression sufferer. It's a show about failure, messing things up and how it feels to be a 20-something artist with an increasingly intrusive and overbearing mental illness. It's endearing, funny but never shy. Combining elements of stand-up comedy, live art and movement, this piece aims to celebrate the discussion of mental health in a light-hearted but touching manner.

“You must reboot the system otherwise the new value will not be in force". Hannah-Joy Spencer is a contemporary dance artist who specializes in dance theatre and multimedia work. In Reboot, she explores personal escapism through video games and comic conventions, as a means to ‘turn it off and turn it back on again’. A touching and funny autobiographical inquiry into whether escapism can unlock creativity and productivity.

Alt: 07130219 is part of a series of durational performances titled Altercation. It looks to the process of shaving, as a form of visual protest and ritual. Alt: 07130219 will show the naked artist remove the hair from his body, whilst projected videoscapes saturate the environment with layers of information.  This creates an intensified environment of bombastic sensory experience. The Art of Conflict follows a group of individuals who are the representation of mankind on Earth. Set in the gritty inner city of London, plagued by capitalism; materialistic greed; and technological advancements that separate us from reality and steal our independence. We follow these individuals as they navigate this harsh world that was designed to divide, as they search for the spark of love to end the conflict. What Is Written is a leading dance company, fusing contemporary, hip-hop and martial art styles. Producing an explosive mix of energetic, fast-paced choreography; lighting design; and original post-apocalyptic beats.

Spoken Movement’s Obibini is a hip-hop theatre show taking you on a journey of self-reflection. It’s a multi cross art platform, using dance vocabulary and rooted in hip-hop. The evening opens up on cultural hierarchy, challenging society’s perspectives and how this affects and shapes our culture today. In an immersive evening, the audience will experience a historical relapse and the emergence of worlds, where questions, domestic occurrences, humour and religions collide.

Francis Bacon Project is based on the book, Fragments of a Portrait by David Sylvester, in which he discussed with Francis Bacon his artistic work, philosophy and personal life. Complimenting Bacon’s abstract and raw aesthetic, this emotionally charged performance transforms the bodies on stage; becoming one with the materials and creating a living artwork that is never the same twice.
