Keto
Keto: the hypnotic, lovelorn orchestration of Nottingham based songwriter Leah Sanderson, harks back to the earlier work of Drag City artists' Will Oldham, Bill Callahan and Josephine Foster, whilst offering a fresh and quintessentially English take on millennial folk.
Having played numerous shows alongside Aldous Harding, Black Honey, Lower Dens, Eaves, Bob Mould and Sun Kil Moon, Keto has recently gained support from BBC 6Music, Glastonbury Emerging Talent, Clash, John Kennedy (Radio X) and Drowned in Sound, with the latter naming her a 'must see act, that one suspects we'll be hearing more of before long' following her breezy and spectral performance at 2016's Dot to Dot Festival.
Earlier this year saw the release of Keto's debut E.P., What We Do, a poignant collection of hauntingly slow burners that reveal a clear, and disarmingly intimate portrait of love and love lost and the decimation of memory through illness. This four track self-release is the product of a restless and shifting personality that places Keto at the vanguard of contemporary musical styles.
WHAT WE DO EP
We will be presenting a musical performance of Keto's debut EP 'What we do' during a 45 minute set opening Derby's UKYA festival.
