This session will be an opportunity to have conversations and to explore ideas in a sociable and welcoming setting. The last few years have been undeniably tough and there’s often an expectation for artists to pave the way in creativity and innovation regardless of what’s going on in the background. Being creative takes energy and persistence and the session will offer opportunities to explore creativity and how it connects to wellbeing and resilience. We’ll look at ways to tap into creativity, and to progress as an artist. Even when things are not going the way we’d like.
We’ll build in time for questions you’ve been wanting to ask or are important to you now. We can also examine some of the real meanings – including meanings that come through our lived experiences - behind popular terms and phrases such as work-life balance, levelling up, resilience, intersectionality and self-care. As someone who really values voice – giving and having voice and also spoken word as a means to foster wellbeing and confidence - we can explore the ways that we as artists can make the most of our ‘voice’ – whatever genre we happen to work in.
