Kieran Spiers - ‘The Foundation’ (web series)

Initially a solo, spoken word theatre show, ‘The Foundation’ is a miniature webisode series spanning four 10 minute episodes. Utilising autobiography, found text and real stories, The Foundation is a project which explores why we build walls and what stops us from knocking them down. 2019 marked 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Yet it seems that societally, we are more fixated than ever about building barriers rather than bridges. This new format for The Foundation was instigated by the continuing challenges presented by COVID-19 and the barriers we’re all facing about how we navigate presenting our art.

The Foundation will premiere daily across the City Takeover, as follows:

Episode 1 - premieres Friday 25th Feb, midday

Episode 2 - premieres Saturday 26th Feb, midday

Episode 3 - premieres Sunday 27th Feb, midday

Episode 4 - premieres Monday 28th Feb, midday

The episodes will premier on UKNA’s YouTube channel, and on our IGTV. Look out for QR code posters around Leicester for snippets and extra content!
