Absorb Me and I'll Absorb You

Hollie Page’s, ‘Absorb me and I’ll absorb you’ is a screen based performance including three animations of the same digital being. This work is involved with what it feels like to virtually embody, both through physically carrying a screen and merging the identities of the actual and digital being. ‘Posthuman’ is used to describe how technology enables us to overcome the limits of the human form, such as multiple actual world people controlling one online avatar. Within this work, this multiple embodiment is flipped to give more power to the digital being.
