Thirtyfive Gamble

Micky Dickson’s Swathes of Platelets is an installation made up of a number of separate sculptural pieces. It combines harsh timber and metal elements with soft textiles embellished with screen and digital prints. The conceptual routes of the work are incredibly personal, dealing with my fathers ill-health. The work as a whole however, acts to be easily invested with others personal reference, appealing to the viewers own memories, experiences, associations.
