UK New Artists is delighted to announce the selected artists for UKNA City Takeover: Leicester 2021. Over sixty artists and groups have been chosen to present work across all art forms, or participate in one of three micro-residencies. UKNA is also excited to welcome back some of our fantastic Alumni who have been invited to present work and share their journey with UKNA. See below for the list of artists and a glimpse into the work from some of their imagery.
The performances, exhibitions, talks, events and residencies will be happening in theatres, galleries and cultural spaces, as well as across the city streets in new and unusual places. We look forward to sharing the full programme of activities, venues and partners in the new year.
It is important to emphasise that whilst we hope to deliver the City Takeover, we recognise that there may still be some government restrictions on public life which will be in effect during the Takeover (Friday 26 February - Monday 1 March). Therefore, we will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidelines, working with our partner venues to ensure artists and the public can safely enjoy this exciting and incredible event and see the future of creative talent in the UK.
