“These paintings are part of a series called 'My Celebrities'. They celebrate the people from the wider community. He is one of my subjects whom I have painted several times among others. He is a fashion designer, fashion student, model, make up artist, manager at Lush and gymnast/acrobat. He is a multi-talented individual. These paintings represent his personality as an ordinary young man no less than 'A Celebrity'. He represents people like you and me who voyage onto dressing, looking and behaving like a celebrity; following trends and ultimately trying to fit in with the world. I hope the public is able to get inspired by the paintings and see themselves no less than celebrities and be confident in the way they are.”
