UK New Artists, Creative Citizens and Mansfield Museum are looking for 14-19 year olds to help shape and deliver a series of events and exhibitions for Mansfield's LGBTQ+ community. From November 2024 to June 2025, you’ll meet monthly with artists Tom Stockley and Cat Anderson to dive into LGBTQ+ stories, explore new ideas, and create something amazing for a brand-new exhibition at the museum.

UK New Artists and S.H.E.D are on the lookout for 15 young creatives (aged 12 - 19) to join us for an exciting journey at our Machines of the Future: Creative Engineering Summer School! You’ll spend the week working with professional artists and engineers who will help you design and build machines of your own invention.

Sincil Bank is getting a new mural and we want your help to design it! 

We are seeking people from the Lincoln community to help design a new, inspiring and vibrant wall mural which will live on Portland Street for the next 10 years. 

The mural will be a celebration of Sincil Bank, its people, places and the memories they have made here.

The Creative Club is a new FREE series of arts workshops for 12-17yr olds in Sincil Bank, Lincoln. Sessions will take place on Wednesday's 4pm - 6pm at the Youth Hub, Bridge Central, Portland Street, Lincoln LN5 7NN. Attend as many sessions as you’d like, however, spaces for each workshop are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.

UK New Artists are looking for creative young people in Lincoln and Lincolnshire to join 'Foundations', a six month programme of training and activity for aspiring artists of all disciplines, aged 14-19yrs. The programme will include Workshops, Go and see trips and Mentoring.

Creative Citizens is the Talent Development strand of our City Takeovers, in which we work with a range of community partners across the city to create opportunities for young people to engage with and create art. For Leicester 2022 we worked with 30 young people from Leicester, and partnered with Attenborough Arts Centre and Pedestrian.

Are you a previous YCA winner or nominee? Aged 16-19yrs? Want to attend a live arts event in Nottingham FOR FREE every month? Join Inspire Me, a new monthly club hosted by UK New Artists and Young Creative Awards, exclusively for YCA alumni.

Each month attend a live arts event at a city centre venue in Nottingham (think comedy, music, dance, visual art) and then go for a drink afterwards to socialise and share thoughts.

In July and November 2020, UK New Artists teamed up with Voicemag.uk to host online discussions about the future of the arts industry. Unlike many similar conversations at this time, this was not about the impact of Covid or Brexit, lockdown or social distancing, but instead about the ways in which the arts must become more sustainable, environmental and accessible in order to grow and flourish over the next five years.

UK New Artists is an Artsmark Partner organisation, one of a number of Arts Council England endorsed network of organisations who are devoted to bringing great arts and cultural opportunities to children and young people.

Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.

Next Generation Weekenders are micro residencies for young creatives (aged 14-18yrs). The projects provide young people with the opportunity to experience new art forms, meet professional artists and explore progression routes and creative career opportunities.

Part of Eurodesk’s Time to Move 2020 campaign, The Art of Working (Internationally) is a series of short documentary films featuring interviews and work from three UK artists. The interviews focus on the influence and impact of having international experiences either through festivals, exhibitions/performances or residencies.

In Autumn 2020, UKNA invited young people from across the UK to connect and meet with with international artists and other young creatives through a series of zoom get togethers.

In partnership with Speakers for Schools, UKNA’s virtual work experience programme saw eight 14-16yr olds join us in the Google Classroom for a week of artist-led workshops, talks and activities, exploring the UK arts industry, new artists and potential career paths.

Celebrating Catterntide is a one day festival that commemorates the long forgotten ‘Catterntide Day’, an annual celebration of St Catherine, the patron saint of lace and textile makers. UK Young Artists, Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU) Lace Archive and Backlit Gallery (itself a former textile factory) host a range of family-friendly activities to ignite and inspire people on this important archive and Nottingham’s social history.

This spring UKYA have been working with community partners; Backlit Gallery, Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum, Nonsuch and Improving Lives Nottingham to deliver a series of creative projects, with funding from Nottingham City Council's Family and Community Learning team.

Creative Citizens is UKNA’s Talent Development strand as part of our City Takeovers. This was a new aspect for Nottingham 2019, for which we worked with four partners across the city to commission projects and develop new opportunities for young residents to explore and expand their creativity.

UK Young Artists has worked with The Mighty Creatives and Arts Connect, with investment from Spirit of 2012, to deliver a series of arts festivals inspired by the work of William Shakespeare. The project spans three years, with a different cohort of artists leading each year in regional settings in 12 areas of low cultural engagement across the East and West Midlands.
