Scuffed Shoes are a Midlands-based Dance Theatre company who explore and make work that looks at the relationships between physical performance, narratives and dance. Scuffed Shoes use a mixture of dance, physical theatre and comedy with artistic signing and gesture incorporated into their work to create fresh, exciting and inclusive performances. The driving force behind the companies work is its story telling.

Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Scuffed Shoes presents ‘Do As I Say, Not As I Do’. This dance theatre show explores the fears, the enjoyments and the little routines that sustain human relationships through the lens of unreliable memories. Partners who each want to come out on top, and a territorial struggle over bed space. This performance swings between the normal and the surreal as two sides of a couple do their best to express their relationship to you.
The performance incorporates Artistic Signing and Gesture.
