REIGN

REIGN is dedicated to creating button pushing political performance art practices through the medium of punk drag that empower the LGBT+ community from prejudicial and discriminatory legislation and ideology in the continued fight for equality. Recent and upcoming endeavours include: National Student Drama Festival (solo performance), De Montfort University Studios (solo and group performances) and Attenborough Arts Centre (upcoming solo performance). Originally from London, REIGN graduated from Drama Studies at De Montfort University in Leicester in 2017 and is currently concluding their MA Arts degree at De Montfort University.

Butch Please!

After finishing their BA Drama Studies degree at De Montfort University in 2017, East Midlands based punk drag artist REIGN present their explosive new project, Butch Please!. Continuing their brand of political live art, durational and endurance practice and autobiographical drag performance, Butch Please! follows a queer identity struggling in a warped Physical Education class from the locker room to the gymnasium. Brace yourself for a class like any other that is suitable for mature young audiences and adults looking back at what we as queer people experience in education. See you on the court...
