Ana Silvério
Ana Silvério is from Brazil, where she began her studies of Ballet, Folk Dances, Jazz and Drama. She received a first-class honours degree in “Choreography, Methodology and Pedagogy of Dance” from the St. Petersburg University of Human Sciences, Russia
Ana performed with the White Nights Ballet Theatre, Folk dance group Banzé, Performing Arts Company Lorenzo Fernandez, among others. She was awarded as a dancer and choreographer in different festivals and also served on the judging committee of many others. Recently, was a member of the judging committee for the Saint Petersburg International Film Festival (SPIFF), Russia for the 2020 and 2021 editions. She has published several articles on dance history and critique, and the commented translation of the book “Basic Principles of Classical Dance” by Vaganova, from Russian to Portuguese.
Ana is based in York, UK. She is a freelance ballet and repertoire teacher for many years and has founded Terpshichoring to explore her creativity, take risks and explore ideas on storytelling.
