‘Things We Learned to Live With’, a Neo folk ep, by Oxford based artist Asthmatic Harp aka. Songstress Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones. It’s the sound you’d expect from a perfect sonic marriage between Joanna Newsom’s wonderfully strange sound world and the soothing, pure tones of Laura Marling. Following on from the critically acclaimed ‘Lost Astronaut’, Hannah set to work writing ‘Things We Learned to Live With’. Recorded by Asthmatic Harp solely in the best DIY manner, mixed and mastered by Sam Smith in Glasgow Green Door Studio, these are songs you’ll hear one day and still be humming a week later. They are eclectic and inescapable with Hannah’s emotive vocal, delicate guitar, with clarinet gently weaving in and out between subtle synthesisers and tinkling piano notes. The performance at UKNA City Takeover will be a unique opportunity to hear the songs in acoustic solo versions with Hannah accompanying her singing on the autoharp and guitar.
