Positive impact of creative writing
We were delighted to be part of this creative writing project, working with residents at a homeless hostel in Leicester.
As part of the Writing East Midlands' Write Here programme, published writer Mahsuda Snaith was placed as Writer in Residence at Kennedy House, a homeless hostel in Leicester, where, with support from Tom Harris (Shadow Writer), she ran writing workshops with the residents.
This short film, What You Don't See When You See Me, tells the story of one resident Lenny who uses writing as a form of expression and shows the impact that creative writing projects, such as this, can have on people's lives.
The project was part of Writing East Midlands' Write Here programme, in partnership with Pedestrian and UK Young Artists. Funded by Arts Council England.
