CONTINUE

The British Library
Tuesday 3 July, 10 - 5

UK Young Artists has partnered up with the BGI to bring you ‘Continue’ at The British Library, London. A jam-packed day exploring the possibilities at the intersection of arts and game technologies. With a programme boasting pioneering artists, technologists, commissioners and curators working at the forefront of new technologies. Get inspired with talks, demos and workshops, and take time to share, discuss and experiment with game practitioners and artists from across all art forms.

Who is it for?

Continue London is calling artists aged 18-30 working across any art form; from dance to painting; theatre to music; poetry to sculpture, as well as developers; game practitioners and technological wizards, who are interested in collaborating and exploring new ways of working with technology and arts. Cultural and technological creatives can come together to collaborate and innovate, exploring ways to intermingle your practices and develop new ideas.

Programme Highlights:

  • Roly Keating - Chief Executive of the British Library

  • Gorm Lai & Jo Summers - Global Game Jam

  • Paul Homer - Founder of venue consultancy Lowlight and seasoned film programmer and curator

  • Demos from Lancaster University and University College London’s pioneering game projects

  • Artist James Cull and Algoraver Coral Manton explore how to connect with your audiences

  • Panel talks and Q&A with leading funders and commissioners for arts and creative game projects

  • Kickstart your project or develop ideas through the ‘funding jam’ with some expert input!

A fantastic and unique opportunity to get inspired, chat, collaborate, experiment and innovate. Come together with artists and technologists from across the broad creative spectrum. Meet commissioners and funders, play with some new technology and lay foundations for new collaborative projects.
