Since it was established in 2008, UKNA has provided specialist training, development and high profile showcase and collaboration opportunities for more than 1500 emerging artists.
Through our community engagement programmes we demonstrate how creativity can enhance the lives of young people, and how the arts can improve opportunities, wellbeing and life skills.
We give enriching creative learning and “first time” arts involvement for more than 200 young people in the East Midlands every year, including those with least opportunities.
Our ambitious projects invest in the creative talent of the UK’s next generation of artists, writers, performers and creators. We present a diverse, cutting edge public programme showcasing work by new artists for audiences to experience, for free.
Can you help UKNA to raise £10,000 to support emerging UK creatives?
We have a target to raise at least £10,000 to provide more paid commissions, professional development, unique collaboration opportunities and high profile showcases for new artists across the country.
We are asking those that are able to kindly consider making a donation in support of this appeal.
Whether you can spare £10 or £100, you can be assured that your gift will help performers, makers and creative thinkers at the beginnings of their careers. Your donation could be the very boost that they need.
£25 will provide materials for one of our workshops for children aged between 14 - 18, giving them an opportunity to express themselves and to boost their confidence and improve mental health.
£50 will cover the costs of providing online resources for artists from across the UK to help develop and improve their practice.
£100 goes towards supporting emerging artists from across the UK to participate in our unique weekender projects which help develop networks and creative thinking.
£200 will fund an emerging artist-facilitator to plan and deliver a workshop for a group of young people in foster care, as part of our Connecting the Community projects.
The UK needs artists who can be bold and take risks; who can provoke, inspire and challenge perspectives; who can take our breath away. With your support, UKNA can continue to invest in these creative change-makers.
